Biografia
Elisa Molinari graduated in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Genoa in 2002. In the same year she started as computer consultant at Aitek S.p.A studying the object optical tracking in virtual scenes to develop an integrated environment for plastic surgery support. She then worked on medical image processing and 3D graphics at the Department of Communication, Computer and System Science (DIST) of the University of Genoa.
From 2003 to 2006 she accomplished her PhD studies in bioengineering and bioelectronics at DIST – working in the field of Neuroinformatics and developing a highly generic platform to manage, analyze and exchange neuroscience data, sharing hardware and software resources. From 2004 to 2011 she has collaborated with the University of Reggio Emilia and Modena (Functional Neuroimaging group) and G. Gaslini Children Hospital (Neuroradiology), mainly on brain activity analysis with functional magnetic resonance (fMRI). From 2007 to 2011 she worked as a postdoc at Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) on the study of human brain functionalities and the development of advanced imaging devices.
Currently, Elisa Molinari is Lead Data Analyst at Research Organization Office.
Her activities regard data analysis with the goal of discovering useful information, recommending conclusions, and supporting the decision making process concerning IIT research activity; collection of annual statistics and performance indicators to monitor progress at IIT and provide services to Human Resources Office and Organization and the IIT Directorate; updating existing or setting up new reporting systems at IIT.
She has a good background in software implementation using a variety of programming languages, in medical image processing and 3D graphics and, in the field of functional Neuroimaging, and on the use of the fMRI technique for brain activity analysis.
